Championship Player Information

Exempt Registration Opens Monday, May 18 at 8:00 pm
Registration Opens Tuesday, June 9 at 8:00 pm

Entry Fee Championship Entry Fee: $240
Format & Prizes 32 players are formed into 8 groups of 4 to begin the championship. Each player plays 3 rounds of match play against players in a group of 4, called Group Play. The winner of each match will receive 1 point. Tied matches after 18 holes results in each player receiving 0.5 points. In the event of a tie in the group after three rounds, the tied players will have a sudden death stroke play play-off to see who wins the group. The 8 players with the most points from each group after 3 rounds will advance to the final 8 Championship Bracket, called Bracket Play. The 8 group winners will be seeded into a traditional 8-player bracket based on the group number they won, not based on their original seeds

August 3: Rounds 1 & 2 of Match Play Group Play (AM & PM Tee Times)
August 4: Round 3 of Match Play Group Play, Stroke Play playoffs for any group ties (AM Tee Times), & Quarterfinal Matches (PM Tee Times)
August 5: Semifinal Matches (AM Tee Times), Championship Match (PM Tee Time), & Awards ceremony immediately after.

Registration There is no formal registration prior to the championship.
Practice Areas Driving range will be open by 7:00 a.m. each day.
Food Service Information There will be a buffet lunch for players only after Rounds 1 and 2. All other food and beverage will be at the player’s expense. Lunch will be available at the club for player purchase after the final round. Breakfast will be available at the club for player purchase every morning starting at 7:00 a.m.
Spectator & Caddie Information Spectator Information: Spectators are welcome at CGA championships. Spectators are not allowed to ride in a player’s golf cart at any time or rent a spectator cart except as provided in the CGA Tournament Manual.
**Due to the limited number of available carts, spectator carts will not be available**

Caddie Information:
Caddies are NOT permitted at CGA Events. Model Local Rules H-1.1 is in effect.
