Player Information

Registration Opens January 17 at 8:00 pm
Registration Deadline February 20 at 11:59 pm
Entry Fee $40 per player
Eligibility Entry is open to any female and male amateur golfer from the high school graduation classes of 2026, 2027, 2028 who has not started college and is a legal resident of North Carolina. 
Format The championship is conducted at 18-holes of stroke play with a maximum score of 8 on any hole. All players, regardless of gender, will play from the same tees. Each team must return two individual 18-hole scores per day to qualify for the team championship. Team and Individual competitions are run concurrently.
Field Size 84 players maximum
Starting Times Starting times will begin at 9:00am off of #1 & #10 tees
Starting times will be posted 5 days in advance of tournament date.
Divisions For the individual competition, competitors will compete in divisions based on gender.  There are no age divisions.

For the team competition, all teams compete in one division.
Course Setup All players will play the same yardage - 5,471 yards (Tee 5)

Yardages are subject to change.
Caddie Information Caddies are NOT allowed.
Electronic Measuring Devices Players may use an approved measuring device during this event.
Push/Pull Carts Push carts are allowed and encouraged at all TYGA tournaments.
Practice Rounds Practice rounds may be played on February 25th after 12:00pm based on availability. $20.00  Contact Longleaf to schedule.
Parent & Spectator Policy Spectator Information: Spectator carts are allowed at a rate of $30 per cart. Spectator carts are restricted to the cart path at all times.
 Parent Policy: Parents are encouraged to follow their child(ren). We do ask that all parents remain on the cart path (roughs if no cart paths), unless assisting with the search for a golf ball. View our Parent & Spectator Policies for more information.
Withdrawal and Refund Policy If you cannot compete in the event, you must withdraw from the event online or by contacting the TYGA office at 910-725-4235 prior to the day of the tournament.  If you do not withdraw properly, you are considered a "no show" and you will be suspended from TYGA events for 1 year.
*NEW* Refund Policy: Withdrawals submitted TWO Days Prior or more from tournament date will receive a refund of the entry fee minus a $20 administrative fee regardless of reason if entry accepted into the tournament. Withdrawals submitted less than two days before the tournament will not receive any refund.
Prizes Trophies are awarded to the championship team, all members of the championship team, the individual boys' champion and the individual girls' champion. The top 5 in the boys’ division and the top 5 in the girls’ division will be award all-state middle school award for 2022.
Tournament of Champions Invitations for the 2022 Tournament of Champions will be extended to all division winners in each TYGA One-Day and Multi-Day events.
Exemptions Earned Top 4 will receive exemption into the NC Junior Boys' Championship
Handicap Posting TYGA does not post one day tournament scores to player's GHIN handicap record.
