TERMS OF COMPETITION

ENTRY FEE
$175 per person

ACCEPTANCE PROCESS
All players will be placed on the pending list upon registration.  Exempt players will be accepted within 2-4 days of registering. On July 31st, the top ranked boys and top ranked girls who have registered will be accepted. Those not accepted will remain on the pending list in order based on their July 2026 Carolinas Junior Rankings.

ELIGIBILITY
Entry is open to any female or male amateur golfer under the age of 19 as of the date of the final round, who has not started college, maintains a residence in North Carolina or South Carolina, is a member in good standing of a club which is a member of the Carolinas Golf Association (CGA) and has a current USGA Handicap Index® at a CGA member club.  Entries are subject to rejection at any time, including during the event, by the Carolinas Golf Association (CGA) or the host club.  The reason for rejection may include unbecoming conduct or unauthorized cell phone use during a stipulated round.

REGISTRATION
All players, including those exempt, must register online at www.carolinasgolf.org. Mail-in applications are no longer accepted for this event.

Exempt Players: Accepted into the championship proper at time of entry. Non-exempt Players: Gain entry into the championship based on ranking (see Acceptance Process for more information). The CGA is not responsible for errors or delays by any internet service provider. Confirmation of acceptance is sent to players when their status is determined. The appropriate entry fee must be paid by each player at time of acceptance into the field. Players who "Did Not Show" (DNS) or "No Card" (NC) are suspended from next year’s championship.

LATE REGISTRATION
After the close of entries, a player may contact the CGA at tournaments@carolinasgolf.org or contact the official in charge to request a late entry. Late entries will be accepted at the discretion of the CGA and only if a spot is available in the field. Accepted late entries will be charged a $30 late fee in addition to the entry fee of the tournament. The late fee is non-refundable, regardless of participation in the tournament.

REFUND POLICY
Entry fee refund policy schedule:

· Open Date to THREE Days Prior to Championship or Qualifying Date: Full refund minus $30.00 administrative fee regardless of reason if entry accepted into championship or sectional qualifier.

· Withdrawals submitted less than three days before the Championship or Qualifying Date: No refund for any reason.

· No-Shows: No refund for any reason.

AUTOMOTIVE TRANSPORTATION; CADDIES; SPECTATORS
Transportation: Players must walk at all times. Caddies: Caddies are NOT allowed. Spectators: Spectators are welcome at CGA championships. Spectator cart availability and cost is at the host clubs’ discretion. If allowed, spectator carts must remain on the cart path and out of the way of play.

RULES
USGA Rules of Golf govern play.  Questions will be decided by the on-site Rules Committee whose decision will be final. Notice to Players and local rules are posted at host club and distributed at the starting tee(s). The CGA reserves the right to alter the conditions or schedules as stated, including alteration of the stipulated round(s) at any time during the championship. The competition is closed when the championship trophy has been presented. Special requests for starting times or pairings are not granted.

CHAMPIONSHIP FORMAT
The championship format is 36-holes of stroke play. 

FIELD SIZE
94 players (18 girls and 76 boys). 

PRIZES
Trophies are awarded to the top three places in each division.

YARDAGES
Boys will play from approximately 6,468 yards par 71.
Girls will play form approximately 5,425 yards par 71. 

BOYS’ EXEMPTIONS

  1. Top 3 from any TYGA Two-Day event between the dates of

August 1, 2025 to July 30, 2026.

  1. Top 3 from any SCJGA Individual Players Series Two-Day event between the dates of August 1, 2025 to July 30, 2026.
  2. Top 8 from 2026 CGA SC Junior Boys’ Match Play
  3. Top 10 from 2026 CGA NC Junior Boys’ Championship
  4. Top 10 from 2026 SCJGA Boys’ Championship
  5. Top 8 from 2026 CGA Dogwood Boys’ Match Play
  6. Top 75 on Carolinas Junior Boys’ Rankings as of June 23, 2026.

Overall results (not age divisions) are used to determine the exemptions from individual tournaments.  Being invited does not guarantee acceptance.  All exempt players must register by the closing date.
