FORMAT - 54 HOLE STROKE PLAY CHAMPIONSHIP
The North Carolina Junior Girls' Championship began in 1997 and is the state championship for junior girls. Until 2024, the championship was conducted at 36 holes of stroke play qualifying, then cut to the Top 32 for match play. The championship is now a 54 hole stroke play championship. There is only one division in this championship. Entry is open to any female amateur golfer, under the age of 19 as of the final date of the championship, who has not started college, is a legal resident of North Carolina, is a member in good standing of a club which is a member of the Carolinas Golf Association and has an active GHIN® USGA Handicap Index®.
