Championship Player Information

Entry Fees $195 per player
Eligibility Entry is open to any female amateur golfer who has not reached their 19th birthday as of the date of the final round of the championship proper, who has not started college, and is a legal resident of South Carolina.

Acceptance Process

All players will be placed on a pending list upon registering.  After entries close, the top 32 players will be accepted into the field in order based on their Carolinas Junior Girls' Ranking as of May 26th, 2026.

8:00 a.m. - 9:40 a.m. Round 3 Group Play
12:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. Semifinals Matches

Thursday, June 11
8:00 a.m. Championship Match

Course Setup Approximately 6,000 yards
Format

32 players are formed into 8 groups of 4 to begin the championship. Each player plays 3 rounds of match play against players in a group of 4, called Group Play. The winner of each match will receive 1 point. Ties matches after 18 holes results in each player receiving .5 points. In the event of a tie in the group after three rounds, the tied players will have a sudden death stroke play playoff to see who wins the group.
There is NO MAX SCORE.
Field Size 32 players maximum
Divisions There are no age divisions!
Starting Times Starting times will be posted 5 days in advance of tournament date.
Push/Pull Carts Push carts area allowed and encouraged at all junior tournaments.
Electronic Measuring Devices Players may use an approved measuring device during this event (NO SLOPE).
Caddie Information Caddies are NOT allowed.
Rankings Information Results will be used for CGA/TYGA/SCJGA Rankings, Tier 3.

Spectator Policy Spectator Information: Spectator carts are allowed at a rate of $TBD per cart. Spectator carts are restricted to the cart path at all times.
Spectator Policy: Spectators are encouraged to follow their child(ren). We do ask that all spectators remain on the cart path (roughs if no cart paths), unless assisting with the search for a golf ball. Please view our Spectator Policies for more details.
Withdrawal and Refund Policy If you cannot compete in the event, you must withdraw from the event online or by contacting the TYGA office at 910-725-4235 prior to the day of the tournament. If you do not withdraw properly, you are considered a "no show" and you will be suspended from TYGA events for 1 year.
Refund Policy: Withdrawals submitted THREE Days Prior or more from tournament date will receive a refund of the entry fee minus a $30 administrative fee regardless of reason if entry accepted into the tournament. Withdrawals submitted less than three days before the tournament will not receive any refund. 

Withdrawal During Group Play

Due to the nature of this match play event, and to ensure that all players have a match to compete in and in fairness to the field in group play, a player who withdraws during the group play rounds will be suspended for 3 months or their next CGA Championship they are signed up for, whichever comes first. It is unfair to your fellow players who spend their own time and money to travel to the Championship, and are subsequently left to sit in their hotel room because another player has chosen to withdraw out of frustration or previous round loss. When entering the Championship, please take this into consideration. If you believe you cannot fulfill the tournament schedule, please leave the spot open for another player.
