64 Player Round Robin Match Play Format
The Dogwood Junior Boys' Championship was the stroke play junior boys' championship for the state of North Carolina until 2024 when the format was changed to match play. The championship format is now a 64 player round robin match play event, the top 16 players will advance to bracket play. Entry is open to any male amateur golfer who has not reached their 19th birthday as of the date of the final round of the championship proper, who has not started college, is a legal resident of North Carolina, is a member in good standing of a club which is a member of the Carolinas Golf Association and has a current USGA Handicap Index® that does not exceed 15.0.
