About the 2026 Senior Four-Ball Series Championships

The Senior Four-Ball Series Championship is a season-long points competition in which players accumulate points based on their four-ball team finish in CGA Senior Four-Ball Tournaments.

Every team at every Senior Four-Ball Tournament will earn points in the Senior Four-Ball Series Points List (55+, 65+, 70+, 75+ divisions) based on their gross or net finish in their respective flight or division. Team points will be split between players to determine the player’s individual standing in the Senior Four-Ball Series Points List of their respective division. Players may play with any partner in any of the Senior Four-Ball Tournaments and earn points toward their individual standing. Players will earn points in the division in which they participate.  (A 71-year-old can play in the 55+ division in one tournament and earn points on that points list, then play in the 65+ division or 70+ division in another tournament and earn points on those points lists.)

Points Distribution (Per Division/Flight)

Players will receive points based on their team's finish in CGA Senior Four-Ball Tournaments. Points will be awarded to all teams in each flight/division based on gross and net finishes. Teams will only receive points for their gross OR net finish.  All points tied will be broken using the same method at a Senior Four-Ball One-Day Tournament for payouts.

2026 Senior Four-Ball Series Championship

At the end of the Senior Four-Ball Series regular season, top-ranked players in their respective Senior Four-Ball Series Points List (55+, 65+, 70+, 75+ age divisions) will be invited to the Senior Four-Ball Series Championship.  The Senior Four-Ball Series Championship will be a 36-hole Four-Ball Tournament using both gross and net scores, replacing the Tournament of Champions.

The Senior Four-Ball Series Championship will be split into two 36-hole events with 104 total teams at each event. The 55+ and 75+ age divisions will be at one site, and the 65+ and 70+ teams will be at another site. Each division at each site will receive a percentage of the total spots available based on the total number of eligible players in their points list.

For example: In the 55+ points list, there are 200 ranked players; in the 75+ division, there are 80 ranked players.  In the 55+/75+ Senior Four-Ball Series Championship, the 55+ tournament will get 74 teams, and the 75+ tournament will get 30 teams to comprise the entire 104-team field.

Top-ranked teams that register in each division will earn entry to the Senior Four-Ball Series Championship based on the number of spots available. Teams will register for their respective Series Championship in a registration window based on their standings. The more points you have, the earlier you can register. If registration is not full, the tournament will reopen for additional entries.

The 65+ and 70+ Senior Four-Ball Series Championships will be played at Barefoot Resort.

The 55+ and 75+ Senior Four-Ball Series Championships will be played at Mid-Pines and Pine Needles.
